Lenovo lists the base cover, keyboard, memory module and M.2 SSD as parts an owner can replace. The documented instructions make worn keys and later memory or storage changes possible without replacing the laptop.
Battery depends on capacity
Lenovo lists the larger-capacity battery as an optional-service customer-replaceable unit. The smaller battery has a different service classification. The installed capacity therefore matters when comparing used T14 Gen 5 configurations.
Used configuration
A used T14 Gen 5 should be checked for its processor platform, memory, SSD, keyboard and battery condition. A previous part swap can change what is installed from the original configuration. The machine identifier and Lenovo’s parts list are more reliable for future compatibility than the family name alone.
