What to check before buying
Display assembly
The SM-T820 guide describes glass, touch digitizer and AMOLED output as a display assembly. A crack or burn-in can therefore lead to a panel quote rather than a glass-only service.
Daughterboard
iFixit says the charging port is soldered to the daughterboard and documents replacing that board. A bad port can be assessed separately from the motherboard; a separate battery guide covers a worn cell.
